Errata and retraction policy

Ingeniería Investiga follows the recommendations issued by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding Correction, Retraction, and Republication and Control Version, in order to avoid scientific malpractice, is willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions when necessary according to the following types of errors:

1. Voluntary errors (falsification, fabrication or plagiarism): In the case of an article that has already been published and presents substantive errors detected by the author and that threatens the scientific quality, may request the withdrawal or correction. However, if plagiarism, prior publication, unethical conduct or error is detected by a third party, it is the obligation and responsibility of the author to publicly retract, which will immediately proceed to the withdrawal or public correction. The correction or public retraction will be made in the next published issue of the journal.

2. Unintentional errors (errors in sampling, procedures, or data analysis, failure to reproduce results, accidental omission of information about methods or data analysis): When an author or other committee member discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is their obligation to immediately notify the journal and support as applicable, to retract or correct the paper.
