Abstract

Telework is an increasingly useful form of work in organizations and poses new challenges for the management of working conditions in the public sector. In this context, the aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between telework and workplace well-being among employees of a Peruvian public-sector organization. A total of 378 employees participated in the study, selected through non-probability snowball sampling. They completed a 38-item questionnaire comprising three dimensions of telework and five dimensions of workplace well-being. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. The results showed a positive association between telework and workplace well-being (ρ = 0.709; p < 0.001). Among the dimensions of telework, connection type showed the strongest association (ρ = 0.645), followed by adaptability (ρ = 0.637) and teleworker location (ρ = 0.568), all with p < 0.001. It is concluded that telework is positively related to workplace well-being, with differentiated associations across its dimensions, highlighting the importance of considering connection conditions, adaptability, and location in the management of remote work.
