Environmental culture refers to being a topic of special interest today due to environmental deterioration and its consequences for humanity. In this sense, companies, be they small, medium or large, join forces and collaborate in environmental improvements. It aimed to analyze the factors that limit the environmental culture of small companies in the Divino Niño sector of the city of Durán. The methodology used was a mixed quantitative-qualitative approach and the research was descriptive. The techniques applied were observation, survey and interview. Among the most important results of the research are: the identification of the factors that limit the local environmental culture: absence of training, lack of goals, lack of motivation of employees with. The calculated Environmental Behavior Index indicator was 63%, showing an unsatisfactory situation
