Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze and determine the impact of business education in the training of entrepreneurs for the new economic scenario. There are many ways to provide business education but we do not know if it really is the training required by the productive activity of the economic system. The theory holds that business training is important for entrepreneurship, but it does not specify what future entrepreneurs should learn. Knowing the level of relevance is key to the success of business training. It is a descriptive correlational and causal explanatory research. The study sample consisted of 54 students, of both genders, of which 30 follow the career of Commercial Engineering and 24 of Business Administration, all of them with the common characteristic that they receive business training. A mixed type instrument was administered with multiple-choice questions with an interval scale and Likert scale questions. The response rate was 90% of the total questionnaires sent. The instrument was validated with Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient, with the following values (0.863) for 4 items of Attitude to undertake, of (0.723) for 6 items of entrepreneurial qualities, of (0.859) for 5 items of the reasons to undertake and (0.957) for 8 items of the challenges to undertake. It was possible to conclude that there is a strong relevance and high impact of business education in the training of entrepreneurs for complex, dynamic, unpredictable and globalized markets.
