Abstract

The presence of family conflicts becomes a factor that negatively influences the development of children, incorporating in their learning repertoire negative behaviors assuming them as normal and common, increasing the complications when it is difficult for them to disintegrate good and bad actions, affecting the emotional, cognitive, behavioral, educational and social areas. Objective; To determine the relationship between parenting style and dissocial behavior in high school students of an educational institution. Materials and Methods; It has a quantitative approach, according to its purpose it is basic or pure and by the level of knowledge it is relational; the design used is non-experimental. The instruments used for the study were the Parenting Styles Scale of the author Steinberg and the ECODI Dissocial Behavior Scale of the authors Moral and Pacheco. The sample consisted of 196 male and female students between 11 and 18 years of age. Results; It was found that the highest percentage showed a negligent parenting style with 36,7%; it was also found that 38,3% showed dissocial behavior. Conclusion; Parenting style is related to
