The anesthetic technique is described in a 28-day-old infant, who presents at birth severe respiratory distress who requires ventilatory support and hospitalization in neonatal intensive care. Being diagnosed with cystic adenomatoid malformation that required surgical treatment. Upper left lobectomy is performed (at the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren Lima - Callao Hospital); under balanced general anesthesia with unipulmonary ventilation and postoperative analgesia in infusion.
Cystic adenomatoid malformation is a rare pathology that improves its outcome with early diagnosis and management with a survival rate greater than 95%.
