THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD AN URGENT UNIVERSITY NEED
The new University Law in its aims and functions, the statute of our University between its aims and objectives consider; teaching, research and university responsibility.
The Member States of the European Union, require from those who practice the medical profession: Adequate knowledge in the sciences on which Medicine is based and a good understanding of scientific methods including the principles of measurement of biological functions, the evaluation of the scientifically established facts and the data analysis.
The University is one of the main sources of knowledge-generating society through research, thus becoming a need for university students to master the basic elements of the scientific method so that immediately and in the future they are trained to integrate or create research teams.
The professional differs from the technician and the other health care providers, because in their actions they have the scientific basis. The knowledge of the health professional is based on research in the biological sciences and related fields.
The future professional of health must receive training in the scientific method from the beginning of his training, this will allow him; flexibility in the acquisition of new knowledge, being permeable to the dialectical changes of knowledge, better performance as a health professional by using the scientific methodology in the solution of the problems of their daily activity in their profession, being self-taught and being able to face scientific challenges.
In the teaching and application of the scientific method should look for achievement in students to be: objective, critical, thinking and innovative.
