Abstract

The study was carried out in order to determine which business management skills have the greatest impact on business creation. It is an exploratory research of a cross-sectional analytical type. The study was carried out in a non-random sample of 56 students who are studying Business Engineering at the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Private University of Tacna. In the investigation, a questionnaire with multiple choice questions with a Likert scale from 1 to 5 was applied, which was subjected to an analysis of internal consistency between the items for which the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was calculated, which demonstrated a high index of accuracy. reliability reaching a value of 0.93. A response rate of 99% was obtained from the virtual questionnaire. The results revealed that the business management skills that have the greatest impact on business creation are: Invest and make operating expenses (63.3%), economically evaluate businesses (56.2%) and define and justify business ideas (46.5%). Finally, the study concludes that the ability associated with market studies is the one that does not show significant incidence, with a confidence level of 95%.
