The main objective of this study was to establish the relationship between emotional intelligence and decision making in entrepreneurs related to the tourism-hotel industry. It is an exploratory research of a transversal analytical type. For this purpose, people related to this field in the city of Tacna Peru in 2022 were taken as a sample. An instrument was applied to measure emotional intelligence which was validated with Cronbach's Alpha. The results found demonstrated a moderate correlation between both variables. The results revealed that emotional intelligence and decision making are significantly related. Finally, the study concludes that the skill associated with market studies is the one that does not demonstrate significant impact, with a confidence level of 95%.
