The study was carried out with the objective of establishing the factors that influence the work performance of university teachers. The study is of a basic type, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach. The non-random sample consisted of 34 teachers from the Professional School of Economics and Microfinance and the Professional School of Hotel Tourism Administration of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Private University of Tacna in 2023. The survey technique was implemented, with Likert scale items. The response rate was 100% of the total questionnaires sent online. The reliability of the instrument was 0.98 (Cronbach's Alpha). The results indicate that the three factors show a low level of job performance. It is concluded that the determining factor that influences teacher job performance is professional training.
