Impact of managerial skills on public management

The article was carried out with the purpose of exploring and determining the impact of managerial skills in public management, from the perception of graduate students in Public Management. The type of research is transversal descriptive, explanatory and non- experimental. The study sample was non-random and consisted of 63 professionals from the public and private sectors, who are conducting Postgraduate studies at the Jorge Basadre Grohmann National University of Tacna. A mixed-type instrument was administered with multiple-choice questions with an interval scale and Likert scale-type questions. The response rate was 95% of all virtual questionnaires. The instrument was validated with the Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient, obtaining the value of (0.865). The results reveal that managerial skills have an impact of 95% on the variability of public management. It is concluded that managerial skills condition the development of public management are: planning and strategic management, with a confidence level of 95%.
