The decisive leadership styles for effective management

The purpose of the study was to establish the leadership styles that are decisive for effective management. The present study is descriptive and exploratory. The approach used was quantitative. The design was non-experimental and cross-sectional in nature. The sample was non-random and was made up of 26 teachers at the Higher Education level. To achieve the objective, the survey technique was applied through Google Forms, which was sent through WhatsApp to the teachers who are part of the sample. For the reliability analysis of the instrument, Cronbach's Alpha was used as an indicator, which obtained the value of (0.811), with reliability considered high. The results reveal that there are characteristics of leadership based on innovation and continuous improvement, as well as leadership based on the review of errors for the implementation of improvement plans, both very important for effective educational management. It is concluded that transformational and transactional leadership styles are determinants for effective management.
